Recommendation and Rationale for the April 4, 2006 Framingham Election
We have an election here in Framingham scheduled for April 4th, 2006. With approximately 32K registered voters and a paltry expected 15% voter turnout, your vote is more important than ever.
The offices to be filled at this election include one seat on the Board of Selectmen, two seats on the Planning Board, two seats on the School Board, and the seat for Moderator.
Executive Summary for Board of Selectmen
I have personally interviewed every person running for office of Selectman. We were lucky to have had a primary election to help educate the electorate on the issues. This race is between incumbent Katie Murphy and Jason Smith. My recommendation is very clear:
We have three people running for two seats: The two incumbents are Carol Spack and Tom Mahoney. The third person running is newcomer Stephen Meltzer. For the two seats on the Planning Board, I urge you to vote for Carol Spack and Tom Mahoney. Please click here for the rationale on why.
Executive Summary for Moderator
The annual election of Moderator is contested by incumbent Ed Noonan and Town Meeting Member Joel Winett. For the position of Moderator, I urge you to vote for Ed Noonan. Please click here for the rationale on why.
Executive Summary for School Committee
There are two seats open for the School Committee and the Primary election yielded four candidates: Pam Richardson is running as an incumbent. The other three candidates are Andy Limeri, Wes Ritchie, and Ricky Finlay. For the two seats on the School Committee, I urge you to vote for Andy Limeri and Pam Richardson.
